VIDEO: Beach rocker brings sound back home to Langley

WIN TICKETS: Brookswood native Daniel Wesley returns.

From his early days of music, singing in choirs since elementary school, Brookswood’s own “beach rocker” Daniel Wesley is returning home next week for a show at Cascades Casino.

The 36-year-old vocalist and guitarist initially played as part of the high school concert and ukulele bands, and went on to form his first band, The Dropouts, at age 15.

While he’s come a long ways from those early days, he’s geographically not gone too far. He’s now a Vancouver resident and returning to his hometown of Langley next Thursday, Dec. 21 for a show in Cascade’s Summit Theatre.

With seven studio albums and hundreds of live shows under his belt, Wesley continues his relentless musical “onslaught.”

He promises his fans that they can expect new material in the not-so-distant future, as he’s been in the studio this year, recording his eighth studio album.

Wesley and his band are coming to Langley, continuing a cross-country tour started in the spring, giving his followers “a blistering display of showmanship” that Wesley has become known for, and his “beloved beach sound.”

Tickets are $39.50 and available in advance from the casino’s guest services at 604-530-2211, or online.

Doors open next Thursday at 7 p.m. with the show to follow at 8 p.m.
