Free the Children founder Craig Kielburger joined Kofi Annan on stage, in front of 18,000 young fans at Rogers Arena.

Free the Children’s 2013 concert for social change welded music stars like Avril Lavigne, Chad Kroeger, and the band Hedley with international political icons, including former UN Secretary-General and Nobel Peace laureate Kofi Annan, Canadian hero in Rwanda Romeo Dallaire, and We Day founder Craig Kielburger.

With Friday’s concert in Vancouver, Free the Children announced the arrival of a new mobile app – We365 – and begins its year for Education, a big topic with a growing list of advocates and a new spotlight, thanks to Pakistani Nobel nominee Malala Yousafzai.
