Christmas begins with Handel’s Messiah.
There will be four opportunities to hear Handel’s Messiah this Christmas season, including a performance in Aldergrove on Sunday evening, Dec. 16.
These back-to-back performances of Handel’s Messiah in the Fraser Valley are presented by the Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, Chilliwack Children’s and Youth Chorus, Belle Voci, and four superb soloists: soprano Colleen Donnelly, countertenor Shane Hanson, tenor Taylor Fawcett and bass David Rosborough. Conductor is Paula Dewitt.
Performance venues and dates are as follows:
• Thursday, December 13, 7:30 p.m., Messiah in the Valley at St James in Abbotsford, 2777 Townline Rd., Abbotsford.
• Friday, December 14, 7:30 p.m., Messiah in the Valley at First Ave. in Chilliwack, 46510 First Ave., Chilliwack.
• Saturday, December 15, 7:30 p.m., Messiah in the Valley at St. Joseph in Langley, 20676 Fraser Hwy., Langley.
• Sunday, December 16, p.m., Messiah in the Valley at Sts. Joachim and Ann in Aldergrove, 2827 273 St., Aldergrove.

Orchestra and dress circle tickets are available for $30 and $35, respectively, only at the Chilliwack concert, Dec. 14.
