Langley Christmas Fun: First come the craft fairs then the holiday events

• Langley Christmas Bureau: Registration is open for the holiday season. Langley families in need can receive gifts for children from birth to age 18. Donations accepted of new, unwrapped gifts as well as money. New location is 20245 Industrial Ave. Aldergrove office, 2900 272 St. (Langley Meals on Wheels) is open Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to take registrations. • Toy drive: Infinite Expansion Foundation has collection boxes around the community until Dec. 15. New unwrapped toys and gifts for children accepted for foundation program to help underprivileged local families. Donations support Ishtar Women’s Resource Society and Langley Animal Protection Society. Info: Augustino: 604-262-2197. 

• Christmas Market: Coghlan Fundamental School, 4452 256 St., market is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16. 

• 12th annual Craft Fair: Langley Meadows Community Association event at Langley Meadows Elementary, 2244 Willoughby Way, is Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vendors, concession, prizes, raffles, and complimentary hot chocolate. Admission by donation with funds benefitting families in neighbourhood. 

• Holiday Market: Langley Secondary, 21405 56 Ave., has a market on Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with free admission, 45-plus crafters and local businesses, door prizes, pizza, and a concession. 

• Merry and Bright: Willowbrook Shopping Centre charity shopping night is 7 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19. General admission: $20. VIP: $40. Evening includes special promotions, $20,000 in prizes, games, treats and sips, entertainment, and more. 100 per cent of ticket and event proceeds goes to local charities such as BC Amateur Sport Fund, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley, Canuck Place, EmotionsBC, Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation, Inclusion Langley Society, Langley Hospice Society, Langley School District Foundation, Lower Mainland Down Syndrome Society, Mamas for Mamas, Special Olympics BC Langley, Cloverdale Community Kitchen, Township of Langley Firefighter’s Charitable Society, and Valley Therapeutic Equestrian Association. • Christmas Craft Fair: Langley-Willoughby Women’s Community Institute annual sale is Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Willoughby Hall, 208 Street and 83 Avenue. On offer is baking, Christmas crafts, knitting, woodwork, and more. Lunch available.
