As of 1:20 p.m., police initiated the lockdown as a “precaution,” according to updates on the university’s website. Police searched the northeast side of the Langley Bypass.

The lockdown was lifted at 1:42 p.m., although police remain on scene.

The rest of the Langley campus was not impacted.
