Hundreds of people gathered for the annual tree lighting.

The 24th annual Christmas Tree lighting in downtown Abbotsford took place at 5 p.m. tonight.  Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived to cheering throngs.  Hot chocolate and cookies, stage entertainment and activities for children highlight this year’s event.  Sponsors for the event included;  Aldergrove Credit Union, Fraserway RV and the Abbotsford Downtown Business Association.
