Homicide police say four people are charged in connection with a 2023 Burnaby homicide.

Twenty-year-old Ali Shamkhi, 23-year-old Rhoda Diabikulu, 20-year-old Ousmaine Keita and 20-year-old Rais Usman are all facing charges of manslaughter and forcible confinement in the June 29, 2023 death of 19-year-old Ryan Nagy, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said in a news release Saturday (Sept. 14).

Police say all three suspects have been arrested and remain in custody until their first court appearance.

On June 29, 2023, just after 7 a.m., Burnaby RCMP received a report of an incident at a home in the 7600-block of 17 Avenue. Police found a 19-year old, later identified as Nagy, with life-threatening injuries. He died at the home.

A second victim, a woman, was found with non-life-threatening injuries.
