Aldergrove 'hit and run' tips sought

Police are looking for witnesses to a hit and run that occurred in the intersection of 272 Street and Fraser Highway on Wednesday, Jan. 27.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. that day, a 12 year old boy was walking northbound on 272 Street. With the ‘walk’ sign illuminated, he was crossing Fraser Highway on the west side of the intersection when an eastbound black truck struck the boy.

The driver stopped momentarily, looked at the boy, then continued south on 272 Street.

The driver is described as 40 to 50 year old male. The only description of the truck is black.

The young boy suffered non-life threatening injuries that did not require medical attention.
