AVID, which stands for Advancement via Individual Determination, is an elective class designed for Aldergrove Secondary students who are motivated to improve their academic performance to prepare for post-secondary and beyond.
Now in its eighth year at Aldergrove Community Secondary, AVID students learn a variety of organization and learning strategies, as well as participate in enrichment and motivational activities that make post-secondary attainable.
Students can apply to the program in grade eight for AVID 9, or in later grades if space in the class is available.
