Clark to visit Langley Thursday

Langley hasn’t been a stop for candidates in either the Liberal or NDP leadership races, but that will change on Thursday.

Christy Clark, one of six candidates for the Liberal leadership, will be at McBurney’s Coffee and Tea House, 20504 Fraser Highway in Langley City, at 12 noon on Thursday. People are invited to hear her views on a variety of topics and ask her questions in an informal setting.

Clark’s campaign team is also signing up new members for the BC Liberal Party. Members can still sign up and be eligible to vote for the new leader next month.

Clark was most recently a talk radio host, but served for nine years as an MLA in Victoria from 1996 to 2005.

She was education minister, deputy premier and minister of children and families during the BC Liberals’ time in government, from 2001 to 2005.
