Police are on the hunt for an Abbotsford bank robber alleged to have fled a Kamloops halfway house.
Richard Wayne Heino, 23, had been serving a two-year federal prison sentence for two counts of robbery in Abbotsford.
Mounties say he took off from the halfway house, and a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Heino held up two banks in Abbotsford in May 2010, and police released his photo and issued a public appeal to find him after he was viewed in surveillance videos.
He was arrested the following month in Chilliwack, and pleaded guilty in December of that year.
Heino's criminal record includes prior convictions for possession of stolen property, mischief and fleeing from police.
Police say he's also known to carry concealed weapons and might be using drugs. Investigators believe he might be in Princeton or the Lower Mainland.
Heino is aboriginal with dark brown hair and brown eyes, standing six feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
