Cummins likely to run locally in spring election

Mary Polak, get ready to be challenged by John Cummins.

The BC Conservative leader said Saturday he will “probably” run in the Langley riding Polak has held since 2005. She is currently the Minister of Transportation and nfrastructure.

Cummins lives in South Langley, adjacent to Campbell Valley Park. He said it makes sense to run in the riding he lives in.

He does not plan to run in either of the Delta ridings. Cummins was the MP for Delta from 1993 to 2011, first elected as a Reform MP, and later as a Canadian Alliance and then Conservative MP.
