The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has officially confirmed that the death of Abbotsford's Ryan Saint Ange on Jan. 14 is a murder.

IHIT spokesperson Sgt. Jennifer Pound said autopsy results have been completed, but the cause of death is not being revealed as it is part of the investigation.

She said IHIT is still wanting to speak with anyone who might have information about the murder.

Saint Ange, 21, was found dead by a friend who had stopped to visit him at his home in the 27700 block of 56 Avenue.

Although others lived in the home, no one else was there when the friend arrived just after midnight.

This is the first murder in Abbotsford since September 2010. There were four homicides that year in the city, and none last year.

Anyone with information about Saint Ange's murder is asked to call the IHIT tip line at 1-877-551-4448 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
