Dog still unaccounted for in mobile home fire in Aldergrove

Firefighters manage to save mobile home from burning down in the 27200 block of Zero Avenue on Wednesday morning

Township firefighters are hoping the family dog wasn't inside a mobile home that went up in flames on Wednesday morning.

Township firefighters managed to save the mobile home from burning to the ground in Pioneer Park , but there is considerable damage done, said Township fire department spokesperson Bruce Ferguson.

Around 10:30 a.m., Aldergrove firefighters were called to the mobile home park in the 27200 block of Zero Avenue.

Nobody was home at the time of the fire. Firefighters believe the flames started in the bedroom but investigators are still on scene (as of Wednesday afternoon).

Neighbours are hoping the dog is with its owners who hadn't returned home yet. No firefighters were injured in putting out the blaze.
