Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce members targeted in latest phone scam

  • Nov. 26, 2015 6:00 a.m.

’Tis the season for phone scams, it would seem. The Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce is the latest organization to warn its members that a phone scam is making the rounds, with the fraudsters using their name.

The Chamber has received reports of a telephone scam in which the caller impersonates a representative of the Langley Chamber and asks if the business is moving or has found new rental space.

They then try to obtain private company information.

The Chamber is advising businesses not to disclose any information.

If you are unsure of whether a call is legitimate, call the GLCC office at 604-371-3770.
