Grow-op busted in cargo trailer in Abbotsford warehouse

Abbotsford Police's Marijuana Enforcement Project executes a search warrant.

Abbotsford Police busted a grow-op Friday night in a west Abbotsford warehouse and seized 120 marijuana plants.

Const. Ian MacDonald said the Marijuana Enforcement Project executed a search warrant at the facility – located in a business complex in the 30500 block of Progressive Way – at about 5 p.m.

The grow-op was located in a 20-foot cargo trailer.

MacDonald said the owner of the trailer, a 35-year-old Mission man, arrived at the site at about 7 p.m. Police will be recommending charges against him of possession for the purpose of trafficking and production of a controlled substance.
