BC Transit is once again making it easier to get to Cultus Lake and Harrison Lake for the summer.
Those who want to park their cars and ride the bus to their favourite beaches can do so a few different ways, from June 30 until Sept. 2.
The route number for the Cultus Lake bus is 56, and that runs between the Vedder Crossing bus stop and Cultus Lake Elementary school. A press release from BC Transit notes that limited service for Cultus Lake is also provided to and from Cottonwood Mall.
The Agassiz-Harrison route number is 71, and links up to several bus stops in Chilliwack. That route normally runs from Monday to Saturday, but throughout the summer will include several Sunday runs.
Both lakes experience traffic congestion throughout the summer, and have paid parking. Cultus Lake also has increased patrolling of illegally parked cars, with cars being either towed and/or ticketed regularly.

BC Transit has also created a transit guide specific to children, including activities, safety tips and more resources for children and their caregivers. That can be found at busready.bctransit.com.
