Two adults and one child were injured in a head-on collision Saturday night on 264 Street between Robertson Crescent and 48 Avenue in Aldergrove near the Greater Vancouver Zoo.

A southbound Ford minivan with two occupants collided with a northbound smaller Toyota car around 7 p.m.

The adult male drivers of both vehicles were rushed to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The driver of the smaller car had been ejected from the vehicle.

One passenger in the Ford minivan, a small child, was also taken to hospital, but their injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said.

Police have not ruled out speed or alcohol as factors in the collision.

264th Street south of Highway 1 remained closed throughout the night.

Langley RCMP believe there are additional witnesses who have not yet spoken to police.

Anyone with information that would assist with the investigation is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
