Update: missing man located, police say

Update: RCMP report Malik has been located safe and sound in Chilliwack.

Langley RCMP is seeking the assistance of the public to locate Malik Mohamed.

Malik is 20 years old and is described as 6 feet tall, very thin, weighing approximately 105 pounds. He has a medium complexion, dark afro style hair and brown eyes.

Malik takes medication which he does not currently have access to.

He was last seen Aug. 5 and does not have a cellphone or access to money. Malik has gone missing in the past but usually only stays away for four days at a time and calls to tell his mother where he is, according to police.

It is possible Malik may try to go to the Courtney area of Vancouver Island. He is known as a healthy eater and is fond of natural settings such as parks and farm areas.

Anyone with information that would help police locate Mohamed is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
