Meth seized at Aldergrove border

31 kilograms were found in a suitcase. Langley RCMP seized the narcotics and arrested the driver.

CBSA officers stopped 31 kg of meth from entering Canada at the Aldergrove border crossing on Dec. 11. A 42 -year-old Abbotsford man was arrested.

A 42-year-old Abbotsford man was arrested after 31 kilograms of suspected methamphetamine were seized at the Aldergrove border Dec. 11.

The Canadian Border Services Agency released the information about the seizure today.

CBSA said the man was entering Canada when he was referred for a secondary examination. Canada Border Services officers (BSOs) examined the vehicle and found a black suitcase. Upon opening the suitcase, BSOs discovered the suspected meth. The driver was immediately arrested.

The narcotics were turned over to the Langley RCMP along with the driver.
