One person was taken to hospital after a late Monday afternoon crash resulted in a rollover in Langley Township on 16 Avenue.
Langley RCMP said a Chrysler Sebring driven by a 39-year-old from Richmond and a Ford Flex driven by a 63-year-old from Mexico with three family members as passengers collided at the intersection of 16 Avenue and 240 Street at 5:15 p.m.
The Chrysler, which was heading west on 16 Avenue, flipped and ended up on the driver’s side.
The driver of the Ford, who was heading south on 240 Street, was ticketed for failing to yield, an offence that carries a $167 fine and two penalty points.
One person was transported to hospital as a precautionary measure. Their injuries were believed to be minor, police said.
Traffic on 16 Avenue was congested for over an hour until the vehicles could be towed.
