A man who made several attempts to get cash with fake credit and debit cards was recorded by the video camera in the Langley ATM machine he was using.

It was shortly after midnight on July 14, when the suspect went to the cash machine in the front entrance of the Coast Capital Credit Union at 6263 200 Street.

RCMP say the suspect used numerous “skimmed” credit and debit cards until one of them, a blank white card, became jammed in the ATM.

It was later recovered and handed to police.

Skimming is the theft of credit card information from the magnetic strip of a legitimate card.

That information is copied to the magnetic stripe of other cards and used to fraudulently obtain funds.

Police have now released a photo from the video in the ATM machine. It shows the suspect in action.

If you recognize him, please contact Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or log on to www.solvecrime.ca.
