Prolific offender arrested in Aldergrove following theft of truck

A wanted man who is well known to Langley police was arrested in connection to a stolen vehicle in Aldergrove last Wednesday.

Robin Hibbs, was arrested around 1 p.m. after a man flagged down police to say he had just seen an individual get out of his vehicle, which had been stolen earlier that day. He pointed out a man he alleged was in the driver’s seat of his vehicle, said police. The officer recognized the suspect to be Hibbs and arrested him.

Hibbs was with a woman at the time of his arrest.

The vehicle was confirmed stolen. No charges have been laid in relation to Wednesday’s incident, but Hibbs is behind bars and had been scheduled to appear in court to address his arrest warrant and other crimes.

Hibbs, 50, was wanted in relation to an alleged theft that occurred on Feb. 11 where power tools valued at over $900 were stolen from a store in the Willowbrook shopping area.
