Prolific thief to spend 43 weeks behind bars

One of Langley’s prolific offenders has been sentenced to 43 weeks in jail for break and enter and committing an indictable offence.

Robin Hibbs was found guilty after a one-day trial in Surrey Provincial Court on Tuesday.

In addition to the sentence, Gibbs was given two years probation. The offence took place in Langley on Dec. 22, 2014.

The 50-year-old has had many similar convictions over the past 20 years. In 2012, he spent eight months in jail for wire theft in Langley.

He also robbed a Langley Ricky’s restaurant in 2013.
