School fire deliberately set

Langley RCMP investigating attempted arson at Aldergrove Community Secondary

Langley RCMP are investigating an attempted arson at Aldergrove Community Secondary school on Tuesday afternoon (July 1).

Someone set fire to a pile of clothes in the entrance to one of the portables at the school in  the 26800 block of 29 Avenue, causing an estimated $5,000 in damage to an exterior roof truss.

The fire was reported around 4 p.m. and was quickly extinguished.

There were no reports of injuries.
