A two-car crash on Highway 1 in Abbotsford shut down eastbound traffic for a few hours early this morning.

A two-car crash on Highway 1 in Abbotsford shut down eastbound traffic for a few hours early this morning.

The collision took place at about 1 a.m. just west of the Mt. Lehman interchange. When emergency crews arrived, they found one vehicle on fire and a second vehicle with someone trapped inside.

Initial reports indicate that the vehicle on fire had rear-ended the other car. The person who was trapped was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

Following the collision, police shut down eastbound traffic between 264 Street and Mt. Lehman for several hours.
