Investigators search a property on Huntingdon Road early Saturday evening.

A search warrant executed at an Abbotsford home on Saturday night has been confirmed as being linked to the murder of Ryan Saint Ange, 21.

Sgt. Jennifer Pound, media officer for the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), said "evidence searches" are a routine part of any homicide investigation.

She could not reveal how the home on farm property in the 27800 block of Huntingdon Road is connected to the Saint Ange homicide investigation.

"What I (also) can't speak to is what they might be looking for or if, in fact, any evidence was located."

Abbotsford Police assisted with scene containment.

The property is located just west of Lefeuvre Road, near Aldergrove Lake Regional Park and not far from the Abbotsford-Aldergrove border.

Saint Ange was found dead in his residence on Jan. 15 in the 27700 block of 56 Avenue in the Bradner area of Abbotsford, also not far from Aldergrove.

A friend had dropped by to visit Saint Ange just after midnight. Although Saint Ange lived with others, no one else was home at the time.

Police have not released the cause of death.
