Vancouver Police look for answers as elderly man found seriously injured

The 80-year-old man found in Stanley Park was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

An 80-year-old man was found seriously injured in Stanley Park on Nov. 16.

Vancouver police are appealing for help as they investigate how and why an elderly man ended up behind the wheel of his car, with severe injuries.

A passerby spotted the unidentified 80-year-old man in a parking lot in Stanley Park at about 2 a.m. on Nov. 16.

The man was in a grey, 2011 Toyota Corolla and was rushed to hospital, where he remains in serious injuries.

Investigators have not described his injuries.

Const. Jason Doucette says police want to speak to anyone who may have seen the car or know what happened early last Wednesday morning.
