Hollaus - Adolf (Adi), passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2020, at the age of 84, at Jackman Manor in Aldergrove. Adi is predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Eileen, and is survived by his children: Angela, Al, Wayne and Brian (Manon); his only grandchild he cherished, Ryan and his mother, Lisa, who he adored; his sisters, Ella (Joe), Edda, Traudi, and Valarie (Lowell). He was an avid cyclist (cycling Grossglockner mountain, the highest mountain in Austria, as well as many others in Europe), soccer player, and skier for most of his life, raised Charolais cattle for decades and was instrumental in promoting the breed. Adi was a pipefitter for his entire career, apprenticing in Austria before arriving with his family in Quebec Harbour, Canada, in 1954. He was a member of UA Local 170 since October 4, 1956 (64 years!) and had a reputation for being one of the Union's most skilled welders, physically strong and a hard worker. Our family is eternally grateful for the wonderful care provided by the staff at Jackman Manor, where he resided for the last three years. To his children, he was a good provider, fair, and always stood up for what he thought was right. We will miss him XOXOXO
