BROOKS, Arthur T.
December 21, 1914 - July 29, 2011
Passed away at Langley Memorial Hospital (LMH). Predeceased by his wife Dorothy (2000) and sons Donald, Tom and Ray. Survived by sisters Mary, Lily, sons Robert, Norman (Janet) and daughter Joan (Keith), 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Art farmed in Aldergrove for 43 years. He was very active in his community serving as President and Chair of several local organizations. Notably, 2 terms as Alderman & Deputy Mayor of the Township of Langley and President of the Otter Co-op. He had a passion for restoring vintage cars (Hupmobiles), he owned a 1910, 1926 & 1933. Played on the Harmsworth Crib Club for many years starting in the 1950's.
By request there will be no funeral service, however there will be a Celebration of Life for Art & Dorothy at the Creekside Club House, Saturday September 3, 2011 at 27435 - 29A Ave., Aldergrove, B.C. from 2pm - 4pm.
