Al passed away on Feb. 6, 2006 after a short illness. He spent his last days in the loving and caring comfort of the Langley Hospice Society. Al was predeceased by his wife Joyce and his daughter Shelagh. Active in Freemasons for 64 years, he is survived by his son Brian, daughters Deirdre and Katy, 7 grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren. Al was a WWII RCAF veteran, teacher and vice principal in the Langley School District, 33° Scottish Rite Freemason and a loving husband, father and grandfather. Al made a difference in many lives, and will be missed by the hearts he touched through his long and fruitful life. A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life at the Eureka Masonic Hall, 20701 Fraser Hwy, Langley, on Wed Feb 22 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations, in Al’s name, to the Langley Hospice Society.
