NUNES, Eduina, Pereira
Eduina was born in Pico, Acores on August 23, 1924, second youngest of twelve children. She married Joao (John) Nunes on December 30, 1950, and they immigrated to Canada from Acores Islands in 1959. They settled in Oliver in the summer of 1962 and lived there until their move to Aldergrove in 1988. Eduina passed away peacefully at home in her 82nd year and will be greatly missed by her family, daughters Margarida Sewell (Rick), Edwina Murphy (Brian), son John Nunes
(Linda), daughters Ann Foltyn (Tom) and Laura Gisler (Henk). She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Ian, Stephen, Eric, Dale, Jillian, Carrie, Bradley, Raymond, Lisa, Emily, Adam, Evan, and Kaitlyn. Three sisters and one brother. Eduina enjoyed crocheting and everyone who passed through her kitchen door loved to partake of her homemade breads. Eduina always prayed the rosary for everyone. Prayers were recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 18th at Sts. Joachim and Ann Catholic Church and a funeral mass was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 19th at Sts. Joachim and Ann Catholic Church, Aldergrove with Father Rufin Mida, Celebrant. Interment and committal will follow in
