Ernie went to be with the Lord after passing away peacefully at home with his family near. He is predeceased by his wife Elaine of 59 years in 2014 and daughter Gail Mackie in 2020. He is survived by his son David of Haida Gwaii, daughters Sherry Haller (Allen) and Janet of Armstrong, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as his sisters Dora and Lilly (Bernie).
He was a loving, caring and generous man who will be greatly missed by all. Special thanks to Lilly and Bernie for their compassionate care they gave dad to the end.
