MACPHERSON, Ewen Kenneth, "Hughie", after a brief illness, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Langley Memorial Hospital on Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, in his 96th year. Hughie leaves to mourn his devoted wife Maudie and his two children, Karen and her husband Jim Kerr and Kenneth and his wife Darlene. Hughie will be sadly missed, also by his five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is survived also, by one sister, Jessie Miller, as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday February 16, 2009 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 26607 Fraser Hwy in Aldergrove. Reverend Ken Dean will officiate. For those desiring, donations made in Hughie's memory to the Aldergrove Veterans and Seniors Society would be most appreciated.
