It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Fred de Vries of Langley on October 1, 2021, at the age of 91.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Judy as well as his sister Gertrude (Ken) Elgersma and many relatives and friends.
Fred was born in Holland. He immigrated to Canada in 1950 where he worked as a barber. He graduated with a B.Ed from U.B.C. and taught in Langley from 1965-1979. Fred and Judy had a hobby farm in the Bradner area for 32 years. Beekeeping and gardening were Fred's joy.
Fred was an avid reader. Fred and Judy moved to Murrayville, Langley in 2004.
At Fred's request, no service will be held. The family wishes to send a special "Thank You" to the staff at Langley Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion.
