FLEET - James Lionel "Jimmy"
73 Years, of Merritt, B.C. passed away on Friday, January 8th, 2010 at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops following a brief illness, surrounded by family.
Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Jessie Fleet and the late George Fleet of Halifax.
Jimmy was a self employed painter for many years, but his absolute delight was his guitar, having performed with many bands up until his illness.
He is survived by his loving wife Trudi, sons Hal and Russell, daughters Cathi, Karen, Leanne, Sandra (Rod) and Rhea (Ron). Jimmy had 13 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter, along with numerous nieces & nephews. He is also survived by his sister Elizabeth of Halifax, and predeceased by his sister Shirley Roach.
Cremation took place at the Merritt Funeral Chapel in
Merritt, B.C.
A celebration of his life and Internment will take place at a later date
