It is with wonderful memories of a life well lived that we announce the peaceful passing of "Jim", "Jimmie", "Paka.
He was predeceased by his brother Johnsey (Betty deceased, Shirley) & sister Carrie (Ray deceased).
Leaves loving wife of 69 years (Marion) Katherine Mary (nee Porayko), children Corinne (Keith), Jim "Jamie" (Connie), granddaughters, Christy, Lisa (Dusty), Adrianna, Claire, Natalie (Miguel) and Yvonne, great grandchildren Amelia and Jamesy. Sisters Irene (Keath deceased), Phyllis (Fred deceased), Colleen (Barry) and brother, Mick (Helen) as well as numerous nieces, grandnieces, nephews, grandnephews & family friend "Uncle Bob" Florko.
Jim worked in lumber all his life, starting with Crown Zellerbach at Fraser Mills in 1948. Transferred in 1961 to Long Beach, Calif. and to Columbia City, Oregon in 1965. Back to B.C. in 1971 with Allwood Industries in Langley, then became the owner of Central Cedar Ltd. and Greendale Industries. In lieu of flowers, please choose a charity of your choice.
