The family of Jessie Sim Craig (nee Fisher) sorrowfully announce her passing at Langley Memorial Hospital on Monday, May 1, 2022. Jessie was born in Regina Sask. on July 30, 1919, the eldest of three children.
She lived there until she met Clarence Frederick Craig (Fred). They were married on March 14, 1942 and their early married life involved moves to places such as Yellowknife, NWT, Edmonton and Redwater, AB, and Williams Lake, BC until settling in Burnaby in the late 1950's, where they raised their three children: Lynda, Bernice, and Bob.
Jessie and Fred retired to Mayne Island spending almost 20 years there before moving to Sydney, then Abbotsford and then to Fort Langley. Everywhere Jessie lived she made many lifelong friends.
She was always involved with the Anglican Church, and volunteered in the community. Jessie loved her family, golf, bridge, watercolor painting and helping others.
Jessie was predeceased by her parents, Duncan and Sarah Fisher (nee Kerr), sister Sadie Laurie (Len), brother Duncan Fisher (Doreen Stinson), her husband, Fred, daughter Lynda and son Robert.
Jessie is survived, and will be sorely missed by her daughter, Bernice Allegretto (Peter Keegan), granddaughters Dawn Marie Allegretto (Chris Lock), Shannon Allegretto (Chris Newcomb), great grandsons Kainoa Lock, Damon Douglas and Shayde Douglas, daughter in law Judy Wishart (Michael, Shelli Finlay(Ryan), Danny) , son in law Brian Hector, and step great grandchildren Presley and Ryder Finlay, Kaiser and Chevy Wishart, and Kennedy and Jordyn Newcombe.
Services will be held at St. George's Anglican Church in Fort Langley on Wednesday, May 25 at 2pm. Donations to the Salvation Army would be much appreciated in lieu of flowers.
