December 31, 2019
Joseph (John) Collin passed away in Abbotsford Regional Hospital, with family by his side on December 31, 2019, at the age of 86.
He was born to the late Xavier and Regina Collin in 1933 in Quebec, where he grew up and was raised. He is survived by 1 brother, Jean-Marie, 3 sisters Gabby, Jeanette, Agathe and predeceased by his brothers Julian and Clement.
John came out west to BC in 1952 and met and married the love of his life, Jeanne Lemire on January 25, 1958.
John and Jeanne were blessed with four children Claudette [Larry], Jeannine [Don], Roxanne [Ron] and Rick [Sue]. He also leaves a legacy of seven grandchildren, Pam, Dean, Colin, Dayna, Kyle, Brandon and Ryan, along with thirteen great grandchildren. All of whom love and will miss him dearly.
With heavy hearts we say good-bye to our Dad's loving spirit and kind heart and never ending sense of humor. He was a hardworking man who was always there to fix or help us all with building, fixing and tinkering. He continued to work as a handyman at Langley Grove Estates; well into his eighties...he just loved to keep busy.
A celebration of life Open House will be held on Jan 25th and we encourage friends and family to stop by anytime between 12 and 3 pm. You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence for the family at myalternatives.ca
