We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Noel Burgess: devoted husband, father & grandfather on January 3, 2021 following complications of heart surgery on December 23.
He will be dearly and forever missed by Edith, his wife of 44 years, his children: Zara (Graham), Timothy (Rebecca), Serena (James), Zachary (Jessica), and Samantha, as well as his 10 beloved grandchildren: Joel, Ashton, Alexis, Jakob, Benjamin, Mina, Jack, Malyke, Zoe and Arlo.
Noel was a retired accountant. He came to Vancouver in the 1970s working first at CU&C Health Services & then Blue Cross. For many years he was an active volunteer with Special Olympics - for much of the time acting as their Treasurer. He has touched many lives, with his quiet kindness and willingness to sacrifice for what's important.
A private celebration of life will be arranged when circumstances permit.
