Paul YOSHIKUNI

November 21, 2006

YOSHIKUNI, Paul Hideo passed away peacefully on November 21, 2006 at the age of 84 in White Rock, BC. He was predeceased by his parents Hide and Denji and his brother Mas. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Matsuye, his daughters Christine and Diane, grandchildren Kim and Kevin, his brother Shiz, sister-in-law Yurie, nieces, nephews and many relatives and friends. Paul was born in Vancouver, lived in Montreal where he raised his family and returned to BC with his family in 1973. He was an electrician by trade who worked on many interesting projects throughout his career with his last one being at the Expo 86 site just before retirement. During his retirement years, he was an avid gardener, rooted for the Blue Jays and enjoyed his daily walks in the neighbourhood rain or shine. He was strong in character and stood up for what he believed in with great conviction and by nature, he was a quiet man with a tender, gentleness to him that touched all those who knew him. He was a loving and proud family man who lived his life with meaning and purpose. The twinkle in his eyes when he smiled will stay with us forever.

Paul will be dearly missed and lovingly

remembered by all of his family and friends. Our family would like to thank the wonderful care team on Weatherby Two for their dedicated care, compassion and support over the past few years and many thanks to the kind and caring Peace Arch Hospital doctors, nurses and staff. A memorial service was held at the White Rock Baptist Church on Tuesday November 28, 2006. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation.
