It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sonja Jean Brown (nee Hansom) on August 10th 2021.
Born November 5, 1943 in Princeton BC, her early years were spent in Parkhurst, BC. Her family finally settled in Vancouver when it was time for her to start school. In 1966 she married Ken Brown, and they moved to Fort Langley in 1969 where they raised a family and enjoyed the community for over 40 years.
Sonja spent the last years of retirement in Quesnel. Sonja's love of animals spanned her lifetime from her pet chipmunk to many litters of puppies - Poodles, Boxers and Boston Terriers and a large involvement with the Boxer Club.
Sonja is survived by her husband of 54 years; Ken, her sons; Kevin, (Amber-Lynne) and Kyle, daughter; Heather (Neil), 4 grandsons; Devon, Dawson, Kaiden and Riley, as well as many extended family and friends.
