Wilfred (Wilf) Morgan Watkins. July 31, 1916 - March 15, 2012. It is with great sadness that the family of Wilfred Watkins announces his passing on March 15, 2012, at the age of 95. He is predeceased by his sister Mavis and is survived by his wife Elaine, daughter Barbara, son Bryn and his wife Bonnie, grandsons Glenn, Kyle and Evan.

Wilfred has been a resident of Aldergrove for the past 27 years. He was a volunteer with the Aldergrove Heritage Society, and actively involved in supporting his friends at SR

Collision. He also enjoyed provoking thought, discussions and yes, arguments at various morning coffee shops around the Aldergrove area. This was an important part of his life. Wilfred was born in Drumheller, Alberta and moved to Vancouver when he was just 7 years old. Wilf was a veteran of WWII, where he served as an air force Flight Lieutenant with the RCAF. He and Elaine were married in England in 1944 and moved to Vancouver shortly afterwards. Wilf graduated from UBC in Civil Engineering and worked for many years with the Department of Indian Affairs and various engineering firms throughout the Vancouver area. He and his partners started their own consulting business and kept very busy for years before eventually settling out on his own. He retired in 1985 and he and Elaine became Canadian Snowbirds and spent almost 20 years traveling all over North America in their 5th wheel trailer. A celebration of life will be held on March 31, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Twin Firs Club House 27272 32 Ave., Aldergrove, BC.
