May 6, 1926 - August 6, 2024
In Loving Memory ~
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Winona Morgan on Aug 6, 2024, at the age of 98. Mom was born in May 1926 on the family farm in Killarney, MB to Cecil and Alma Dagg. She did all her schooling there and then went to Winnipeg to attend business college.
She eventually followed her parents after their move to Langley, BC in 1947. She married our father Jack Morgan in 1953, and together ran a successful broiler farm (Braemar Acres) on 64th Ave which is now known as Langley Meadows Park.
Children soon followed, sons Kim and Brent, and daughter Hollis.
After Dad passed, Mom was able to live independently in her own Langley City condo for 34 years. This was until her recent hospital stay. She particularly enjoyed her 35 years of volunteering with Langley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary-Penny Pinchers and Hospital Gift Shop.
Surviving her are sons Kim (Katherine, grandson Nick & Amanda and 2 great-grandsons), Brent (Kellie, grandson Bryson & Danielle, and great-grandbaby on the way), granddaughters Breanne, Brooke, and by marriage Matthew and Samantha (McGuffin), and finally daughter Hollis.
Mom is also survived by former daughters-in-law Donna Morgan and Lee Wood, plus cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Cecil & Alma Dagg, and husband Jack Morgan.
A private family service will be held at Langley Lawn. If you wish donations may be made to Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation, Langley SPCA, or a charity of your choice.
See Hendersons Langley Dignity Memorial for the full obituary and comment.
