I wanted to voice my concern about the petition being signed about the indoor pool. I understand a lot of people in this community must want an indoor pool to have a rally to go on. However, we haven't heard of the passive people who might want the outdoor pool with picnic area.
Having moved to Aldergrove two years ago and wanting to start my family here I would like to see more outdoor activities for my children and niece. To create an indoor pool it would promote children to be inside on hot days.
Not only that but the only outdoor pool around is the already over-crowded, outdated and small Al Anderson pool in Brookswood, which is a good five or more minutes away from W.C. Blair pool (a decent sized indoor pool in Murrayville, only 10 minutes away) or we have Walnut Grove pool, which is a massive indoor pool that also is not very far away, not to mention the indoor pools in Abbotsford.
The real thing that will update my community is difference! We need an outdoor pool, it's a community with small families. We need the outdoor family activities.
