While I have some sympathy for the homeless, I think, in my area — Aldergrove — you are preaching to a large number of hard to hear residents.
I started work in 1955 and never was without work until late 2014.
All positions were attained by myself without too much assistance from friends and nothing from any government office.
I have had/owned four homes, lost two to the recession of the ’80s.
All of it was achieved with hard work without complaint.
That is something the current unemployed appear to be good at, complaining about hard work and poor conditions is not unusual.
I have held some positions that were less than convenient, Siberia for one, but a family and debt kept me going.
I have nothing but admiration for your position, but I find no pleasure in beating my head against a brick wall, the philosophy of something for nothing rankles me and does not garner any sympathy.
