Aldergrove Basketball Club’s Junior boys lost a thriller Sunday at Columbia Bible College 54-58 in Abbotsford Basketball Association semi-final action to Abby United.

Bryan Tran helped ABC keep the game close in the first half coming out strong and being a force on the offensive and defensive sides of the court. Tran finished the game with 15 points and a team high 13 rebounds.

Oliver Tang in his first start of the season was solid defensively, helping keep the Abby United offence at bay most of the first half.

ABC found themselves trailing 24-29 at half.

The second half saw U’Shaun Campbell (15 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists), Jessiah Lomas (11 points and four assists) and Michael Adam (11 points and 12 rebounds) help ABC turn up their offensive game and get pace to pace with their opponent.

Sixth man Jacob Kautzmen came off the bench to add two points and six rebounds.

ABC outscored Abby United 30-29 in the second half but it was not enough.

Next week in the final game of the season the #3 ABC Junior Boys play #1 DPS Falcons in the third and fourth place game.
