Aldergrove Secondary Totems senior boys soccer team finished seventh in the Provincial AA High School Soccer Championship with a convincing win over Hugh McRoberts Wednesday, Nov. 20.
The Totems won the school's very first Fraser Valley AA Soccer Championship, Nov. 7 with a 3-2 win over Arch Bishop Carney school to enter the provincials, Nov. 18-20 at Burnaby Lake Sport Complex.
Aldergrove tied their first game 1-1 vs. DP Todd and tied second 1-1 vs. St Thomas Aquinas, Nov. 18 in Pool D.
Aldergrove then defeated Hugh Boyd 4-0 for second place in Pool D and advanced to play Sa-Hali (2nd place in Pool C) on Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 19. This game was won by Sa-Hali with a penalty kick score of 4-3, setting the Totems up for the seventh place game against Hugh McRoberts on Nov. 20.
