Baseball provincials this week

The Aldergrove Minor Baseball Association (AMBA) hosts the B.C. Minor Baseball Bantam AA Provincial Tournament from Aug. 2 to 5.

Ten teams from across the province, consisting of about 125 athletes aged 13 to 15, will compete at the event.

Organizers anticipate that more than 250 spectators will attend the tournament, which includes teams from communities such as Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Cloverdale and Vancouver.

The host team is the Langley-Aldergrove Dodgers, which wrapped up a successful spring season by capturing the Lower Mainland Tier 2 Bantam AA Championship.

The event takes place at Aldergrove Athletic Park, 26715 - 27 Ave.
