British Columbia's Senior Rugby Women will be defending their title on home soil this weekend.

British Columbia's Senior Rugby Women will be defending their title on home soil this weekend.

The National Women's League finals are being held right here in our own back yard. The British Columbia Rugby Union will field three teams for the NWL tournament, scheduled for June 30 through July 3 at the University of British Columbia's Wolfson Fields.

Fans are invited to come out and support the defending national champs, the B.C. Senior Women's Team, as well as B.C.'s Under-23 and Under-20 sides in a tournament featuring the highest level of domestic rugby in Canada.

Four Aldergrove Secondary School graduates are on these rosters. Megan Hamm, Sonya Foulds and Randi Hunter are playing with the U23 team while Elyssa Phillipson is with the U20 team.

The event is free and all B.C. games details are listed on www.nwlrugby.com
